Holiday Gift Guide | For Him
Boyfriends are the
toughest to shop for, especially if you haven’t been together very long. We are
racing towards Christmas, and I know that some of us are still struggling to
finish shopping (like me). Here are some things that I would get for the man in
my life, at lots of different price points.
Keep Him Warm
If you live somewhere
cold, he’s going to appreciate a warm hat or scarf. Available at just about any
budget, you can find these anywhere. I like this
hat, but make sure it will cover his ears. For scarves, save and get this one,
or splurge on this
jazzier one.
Keep Him Fed
Get him a box or two
to a service like Blue Apron, Plated, or Hello
Fresh. They deliver ingredients precut and measured to make a delicious
meal. It’s a great way to try something new, and you can do the cooking
together. It’s also good for a guy who’s really into cooking, or maybe one who
needs a little more help in the kitchen.
If you’re not into the
cooking thing as much, try a charcuterie gift set (everyone loves meat and
cheese!) from a company like Harry and
David, or your local butcher or specialty store.
Keep Him Busy
Sometimes the best
gift you can give is a hobby. Is there something that he likes already? Is he a
golfer? Model train aficionado? If nothing comes to mind, then it’s time to find
him something new. If you’re looking to splurge, how
about a drone? They’re available at a ton of price points from $50 up into
the thousands, and they’re fun. For
the guy who is willing to invest a little more time, I also recommend a beer or
spirit-making kit. I like
this one, to make a chocolate maple porter. Extra manly.
