BA STAR Holiday Red Lip Pencil

I never really got into lip pencils. I use glosses and lipsticks, but lip pencils have never been part of my go-to list of products. The closest I’ve gotten is those chubby lip glossy pencil things, but they’re not quite the same. I think that this might change that. I’ve worked with BA STAR before, and so far, I haven’t been disappointed. This lip pencil in Holiday Red is no exception.

As I’ve mentioned in past posts, linked here and here, BA STAR is a popular brand for wearing while performing, especially for cheerleaders and dancers. Since trying out these products, I can definitely see that they can work for every day too.

This Holiday Red Lip Pencil claims to be full coverage, for both lining and colouring the lips. It says it will stay on all day. This pencil does need to be sharpened using a duo sharpener.

This pencil glides on easily in a pink-toned red. It dries to a matte vintage finish, but isn’t drying, so a lip gloss isn’t required. Like the name suggests, it will be perfect for the holidays. Once it’s on, it certainly does stay there for hours. This is one you’ll need to get out the makeup remover to take off. It’s also incredibly variable in the pigmentation. You can put it on with a light hand, and top with a pink lip gloss for a subtler look as well. I wore it like this yesterday and got loads of compliments! The swatch on my arm is two coats, while on my lips I'm wearing just one to show the versatility of the colour.
