2021 Goals
It’s at that time. Let’s talk about goals and resolutions.
First, can we just have a BIG OLD laugh at my resolutions for this year? As they say, make plans and God laughs, and that happened this year.
My goals for 2020 were

Plan a big vacation
Buy less clothing
Schedule more unplugged time
Read more: Yes! I did that! I have been able to read so much more, mostly because of how much extra time I had this year.
That was the only goal I accomplished. We clearly did not plan a big vacation. That just didn’t happen. I’m not sure if it will even happen this year. I’d still like to take our big France/Germany road trip…but we aren’t there yet. Also, after the financial hit of this year, we haven’t’ been able to put as much into the travel fund as we would like. As for buying less clothing, my weight fluctuations from the pandemic really didn’t assist with that. And unplugged time? I don’t know her.
How about 2021?
This year, I just have one goal. It’s to launch my cross stitch business and make some profit.
What?
Yeah. During the pandemic, I picked up cross stitch as something to help me handle the anxiety I was feeling. And guess what? I’m good at it. I enjoy it. I’m fast at it. But my house is starting to fill up, so it’s time for some of them to find new homes. I’ve also been making custom pieces for friends and family for the past few months, and I’m ready to offer that to strangers now! The big thing for me is that moving my hands like that has been really helpful. I can tell how my anxiety fluctuates and how I handle it better when I’ve got my hands into a cool cross stitch project.
I know I missed the holiday season. That was on purpose, but I’m excited to get things going for this year!
That’s it. That’s my goal.
