June Favorites | Shop Your Stash Edition
It’s July! That means
it’s time for monthly favorites. This month, I tried to make a really big
effort to use things out of my stash, especially now that it’s really damn hot
out and I’m wearing less makeup.
Here are a lotttt of things from June that I’ve
been using and loving.
Common theme this month
is light and glowy, so here we go.

Face Products:
This is kind of a
princess product. You don’t need this, but you’ll want it. I’ve had it in the
collection for a while and have only just started really trying to use it up.
This does…something…to your face. It’s a primer, so you put it on first, and
then your face just looks better. Even without other makeup. Your pores are
gone. Your face looks slimmer. It’s…magic. It’s marketed as anti-wrinkle, but I
love it even without the wrinkles. I can’t explain how great it is…it just is.
I did a video and a
blog post on this, so I won’t talk about it too much. The problems with this
still exist. The packaging is still crappy. But it eels amazing and stays put,
especially on days when it’s 90+ degrees out. Great for the summer.
I have also talked
about this recently. Relatively new to me, I love this for a light glow during
the summer. I don’t really tan much in the sun, so this has been the best at
helping me fake it. It’s warmer-toned than my favorite contouring bronzers, so
it’s better for adding more of a sun-kissed look all over.
Another old favorite,
this is the best blush for something that is totally natural. A light baby
pink, you get a little flush, but don’t look like you’re wearing a thing.
I got this in a Birchbox
or an ipsy or something and bashed it immediately. It’s the same color as my
skin, so it’s totally useless, right? Wrong. I have been neglecting my
eyebrows. Not a little neglect. A lot of neglect. This is really great at
hiding that and carving out a brow that looks somewhat tamed. It has definitely
redeemed itself.
On their own, these
are both gorgeous. Benefit has the best formula, and Jelly Pong Pong has the
best golden glow. Mixing them together gives you the best of both. A perfect
golden highlight for those sunny summer nights.
Eyes:
My beloved Kat Von D
liner has been out of stock and I’ve been reluctant to buy it online. I picked
up this one on the recommendation of a salesgirl at my local Ulta and have been
nothing short of impressed. Thin lines or thick, it does it all, and it really
doesn’t budge for the full day. Zero smudges.
This was in my ipsy
Glam Bag this month. I surprisingly loved it for going out. It’s lighter than
doing a black or gray smokey eye, so it’s a better choice for summer nights
out.
Another underutilized
product from the stash, this is great on the lower lash or waterline to help
lighten up a liquid liner look instantly. It also adds a subtle sparkle, which
is always good.
These three shadows
together give me the perfect light brown daytime eye. These three give me
something natural but still pretty. Definitely try these out.
I’ve talked about this
before, so I once again won’t go into it much here. This mascara is really amazing.
Big giant voluminous lashes. The wear time isn’t great on me, but it’s worth
trying out because the look you get is so beautiful.
Lips:
I talked about this in my last blog post, so I won’t go on too much here. Since getting this, I have
worn it every day. That’s enough
evidence for it to go in here immediately.
Nails:
I’ve been cycling
between two polishes this month, Sally Hansen’s Get Juiced (an old one) and Absolute
New York’s in Turquoise (a new one!). I get complimented on both of these
and they’re hot-weather approved.
Yikes, that’s a lot of
favorites. What have you been loving this month?
