Another
Barkbox for Biscuit! Since upgrading to the larger box (she’s 55 pounds, for
comparison) we’ve been in a really good place in terms of Barkbox size. She
loves Barkbox day, so I keep on buying them. If you’re interested in checking
out this awesome brand for your furry friend, details at the end of the post.
This month’s
theme was Flea Circus and everything
was circus themed! Kind of. The toys anyway. Sticking to the theme isn’t their
strong suit, but that’s okay. Anyway, this month’s box was worth $47, and cost
$29, so let’s take a look.
Toys:
BarkMade
Circus Elephant
This little
guy is cuuute. Its soft and plush, with a pretty robust squeaker on the inside.
Unfortuantely, Biscuit destroys all soft toys. All of them. This little guy is
standing up pretty well, but lost both ears within 20 minutes. Poor thing. Perhaps if
your dog is more of a cuddler than achainsaw, this might go over better.
$13
Barkmade
Benji the Bouncing Tiger
This was…unusual.
It has a bungee in the middle so it stretches when you tug on it, and then a
squeaky on both ends, so it’s hours of fun. It’s easy to toss and tug, so it’s
an immediate favorite. Unfortunately, this also lost it’s ears and tail within
minutes, but is otherwise holding up fairly well.
$13
Treats:
Feel Good Treat Company Trail Blazin Beef
Bitz
I didn’t quite get these. They’re like hard
little crackers. My dad called them liver triscuits. These are grain free and
baked into a hard crunch. Made out of only beef liver, oats and oil, it doesn’t
get easier than that. Biscuit likes these a lot. We do this little trick where
she has to balance the treat on her nose before she gets to eat it and these
are the best shape for that. It’s very cute.
$8, but I’ve seen them for much less
elsewhere.
Butcher’s Block Trachea Chew
So this is six inches of trachea. Ick.
Biscuit likes dried animal bits though, so I was sure that this was going to be
a hit. That was just false. I am not sure why she doesn’t like it, but she
doesn’t. She carries it around the house and cries, but doesn’t chew on it. It’s
strange. She’s never had a trachea before, so I’m glad we found out before we
bought more of them. As an aside, this product was sponsored by a company called
Voyce, which had ads all over the place in this box. Voyce is a pricey ftbit
for your dog. $200 up front, plus a monthly fee. I felt a little strange about
that. I hadn’t seen something like that in a subscription of any kind before.
It seemed off, but I digress.
$3
Nootie No Grainers Hickory Bacon Jerky
Chews
These were pretty great. It’s made out of
USA chicken and bacon and seems totally wonderfully. Also grain free too, not
that Biscuit needs that. These are on the softer side, as far as treats go,and
Biscuit loved them. We’ve been trying to cut down on her treat consumption (but
we are weak), and these have been a favorite. I will probably pick these up
again.
$10, although, again, I have seen these for
less locally.
Another great box! Keep them coming,
Barkbox. If you want to try this out yourself, you can use this link for a free
box with your purchase, and if you use it, you’ll give a free box to a dog in a
shelter :) It’s also a great gift for the dog-person in your life.
Do you spoil your dog a little too much?
