Blogmas #4: Christmas Tag with Beth

1) Which holiday do you celebrate?

Christmas...although I have done Hanukkah in the past. I'm a Christmukkah person.

2) What are you doing for the holidays this year?

Going home. My family watches movies on Christmas day. I gets up at 7, and wake everyone up by kicking their doors. And then we're up until late morning and then it's time for a nap.

My family gets up at 5, opens presents, goes back to bed, and then we eat a pizza. Mom buys a frozen pizza in advance of the occasion.

3) What's your favorite holiday drink?

Spiced Apple Cider

5) What's your favorite holiday/Christmas song?

Bing Crosby and David Bowie do Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth. It’s beautiful.

Mine is Merry Christmas Darling by the Carpenters, or I’ll Be Home for Christmas. I like sad Christmas songs. I know, depressing.

6) What's the weirdest gift you've ever received? 

Underwear...from my Grandma that I see only a couple times a year.

My dad buys me textbooks for classes I’m not taking, like calculus and physics.

7) Have you ever made a snowman?

Yes.

8) What is your favorite winter fragrance?

More vanilla than other days.

Vanilla Body Spray from the Body Shop.

We have the same body spray, I guess.

9) What is at the top of your list this Christmas? (or whichever holiday you celebrate!)

I'd like sweatpants from American Eagle, a fancy wax melt holder to make our house smell nice, and Before the Dawn, by  Nicholas Wade. I couldn’t narrow it down to just one.

I’m getting a new camera. Also an umbrella.

10) What is most important to you about the holidays?

Spending time with your family. I think that’s a good answer for both of us.

11) Whats Your Favorite Holiday Movie? 

The Santa Claus, featuring Tim Allen.

12) Whats Your Favorite Christmas Color? 

Gold.

I prefer Silver.

13) Do You Like To Stay in Your PJs Or Dress Up For Christmas?

I don’t dress up to go downstairs and open presents, no.

Neither do I. I dress up for parties, but not for my family.

14) If You Could Only Buy One Person a Present This Year Who Would It Be? 

My brother. I couldn't pick just one parent.

I would get something for my mom. Dad knows I care without presents, but Mom needs monetary affirmation of my love.

15) Do You Open Your Present Christmas Eve Or Christmas Morning?

We open one on Christmas Eve. It's a game, and then we play it and go to bed.

16) Have You Ever Built a Ginger Bread House?

Yes.

17) What Do You Like To Do On Your Christmas Break?

See friends that I haven't seen since New Years.

Same for me, see some friends, take a break from school.

18) Any Christmas Wishes?

Peace on earth and good will to men. And women. And animals. And children.

End AIDs. I’m using my wish on that.

19) Favorite Christmas Smell?

Home Sweet Home from Yankee Candle

I like the smell of live pine trees. Like when you first bring your Christmas tree in the house (no fake trees for us).

20) Favorite Christmas Meal Or Treat? 

Pie. I need blueberry pie.

Pie. I love pie. Of all kinds. Except pecan, because I don't like that the nuts float to the top of the pie. I don't like that at all. All other pies are acceptable.

And today's advent calendar prize is...

A mini Dandelion Ultra Plush Lip Gloss. It has kind of a fruity taste/smell that is not unpleasant, but that I can't put my finger on. It also doesn't really add any color. It's just a clear sheen, and the effect is very natural. Based on that, I probably would not buy it. I will use this one now that I have it though. It's probably best on a don't-want-to-look-like-I'm-wearing-makeup-day. My friend Kathleen is reading this and saying "why don't you just not wear makeup on those days??". I know she is.
