Give Thanks

Yesterday was Thanksgiving here in Canada. Being originally American, it has never really felt like the “right” Thanskgiving. Nevertheless, there’s nothing wrong with an additional day of thanks.

This year, I am thankful for:

My family.
We didn’t get to be together on the holiday this year, as I was stuck here with work. I’m thankful for them though. You only get one family, right?

My friends.
Since I wasn’t with my family, on Sunday, Odessa and I had a potluck at our house. Beth went home to her family so she wasn’t here for that. We had a great time though, hanging out and being together. If I couldn’t be home, this was the next best thing. Our potluck was a real success. I baked a chicken, and we had squash, grilled veggies, and potatoes, along with chocolate cake, pumpkin pie, and apple pie.  It was fantastic!

My health.
I’ve gotten over my illness! Hooray! Hopefully things can get back to normal.

What are you thankful for this year?
