I’ve got another set of fall nail polishes that landed on my doorstep. As I mentioned in my China Glaze post, fall nail polishes are my very most favorite. I love the rich, luxe colors. OPI has not disappointed me this season with their Venice collection.

Inspired by the opulence of Renaissance Venice, these polishes have the usual cute-punny names, and amazingly luxurious colors.

I have the set of four minis for you today, called the Bambinos (again, so cute). In this set:

Unfortunately, I found the formula of these left something to be desired. A Great Opera-tunity looked lovely in color, but was really difficult to apply without streaks. It was hard to make it look nice, and I don’t want to have to fight my nail varnish. Worth a Pretty Penne was the real winner. It went on smoothly and was by far the most effect. This may be because the shimmer in the formula is more forgiving, but it’s still miles ahead of the others. Amore at the Grand Canal requires a full three coats for it to be opaque, and it was hard to make it look streak free. Again, I wouldn’t bother with it. The final shade, My Gondola or Yours, was the most difficult. It took four coats for it to be opaque, and was streaky the entire time. Not great.

So. After trying these out, I would recommend to skip these overall. I love OPI polishes in general, but something must have been off with this line. If there’s one you have your eye on, go for it. Otherwise, I’d skip. Except for Worth a Pretty Penne. That one’s gorgeous.
